| Alfie does it again with an excellent and informative video!
Want to lay low and not get seen but need to eat and keep warm? Here’s how. Known as a Dakota Fire Hole, this is one way to stay off the radar. You can also use this fire if there are gale force winds. Alfie’s entertaining video gives a whole lot of tips and advice, but watch out for the cheap hooker reference!
- First off, you need to dig a 2-3 foot deep hole and 1.5 feet wide. If you want a bigger fire than that, dig deeper
- Dig a smaller hole next to it – about 1.5 feet deep
- Build a tunnel between the 2 – this allows for oxygen to get into the fire – yep, you might need to blow into the smaller hole to get oxygen into the bigger hole
- build a stick platform and add sticks like you would any fire
